Grill Ministri is owned and operated by Infinite One Foods, which is a 2012 start-up by two regular Chennai-tes.
What type of grill food do you specialize in?
There are various types of grills in the culinary world. We specialize in the Indian grill, which is also called, ‘tandoor’. Tandoor is a specialized cooking grill made from clay and fired using coal. Temperatures inside the tandoor reach well over 450 degree Celsius. The tandoor was first used in the northwestern part of India during the royal Mughal era.
What type of cuisine do you serve?
We serve north Indian cuisine with a special focus on the northwestern part of India.
How much would a meal for two cost me?
A full three-course meal at the Ministri for 2 people would cost about 800 INR.
Your menu feels limited. Why is that?
Yes. We have very limited offerings in our a la carte menu. Months of work goes into putting together a menu and we have ensured only the very best offerings from the northern and northwestern parts of India land up on your plate.
Do you offer buffets? If yes, is it for both lunch and dinner?
Owing to the high IT crowd in the area surrounding the Ministri, right from day one, we received a huge influx of requests for a buffet spread. Understanding the need of our guests, we introduced the buffet spread during lunch hours, which we then extended into dinner too.
