Mogappair was once called ‘Magapperu’, meaning blessed with a child. The name derived from the belief that the deity Shri Santhana Srinivasa Perumal granted the blessing of parenthood to childless couples.
After persistent mispronunciation, the name evolved to its present form of Mogappair. Childless couples visit this temple and offer their prayers, and it is said that their wishes have come true after the visit to this shrine.
Coincidently located in the northwestern part of Chennai city, Mogappair is today Chennai’s fastest growing residential and information technology corridor and well connected with national highways leading into different parts of the country.
Grill Ministri is located right at the heart of Mogappair West.
